Our Story
DWD Garage makes reproduction parts for the Harley-Davidsons the factory stopped supporting — and for the riders who keep them on the road anyway. This shop is built by Harley-Davidson enthusiasts, for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts: builders, restorers and people who would rather fix an old Harley than replace it.

How it started
DWD Garage began with a restoration that had stalled. Our founder, Jing, was rebuilding Harleys as a hobby, and he kept meeting the same dead end: the part he needed had been out of production for decades, and the originals still around were worn, expensive, or both. So he went looking for workshops that could make them properly.
Talking with other enthusiasts online made the next step clear. He was not the only one stuck. Plenty of people were hunting the same parts, and very few were being made well. DWD Garage is here to close that gap.
How our parts get made
We lean, deliberately, on the depth of China’s manufacturing. The workshops we work with can produce a casting or a machined part to a standard and a price that a low-volume Western shop cannot match — and that is what makes a faithful part affordable in the first place.
What the workshops make is our call. We are Harley-Davidson enthusiasts, not a parts catalogue: a part exists because somebody needed it for a build — often one of us, often someone who wrote to us first.
The advantage only counts if the quality holds, so we do the unglamorous half:
- We vet every manufacturer we work with, and stay with the ones who earn it. Long-term partners, not one-off orders.
- We check each part against the original before it goes on the site.
- We fit our own bikes first. If we would not run a part ourselves, we do not sell it.
Holding quality and affordability together is the harder path. It is the one we have picked.
Where our parts end up
Our parts have reached riders on five continents — Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Oceania — in places like Japan, Brazil, the United States, Australia, South Africa, France and Norway. Shipping is worldwide, and every order gets the same attention: whether it is one bracket or a whole rebuild.
The community on Instagram
Most of what we know about these bikes, we learned from other people who own them. Jing’s Instagram account, @ironheadchina, is where the fraternity lives: a few thousand Harley-Davidson enthusiasts comparing notes, swapping part numbers and working out what fits what. The shop grew out of that crowd, and it is still where we hear what a build needs next.
Let’s get your bike back on the road
Nobody here learned this alone, so ask us anything: a thread size, a fitment, whether a part exists at all. Tell us what the build still needs — if we do not stock it, we will look at whether we can make it.
